The ZipGO Conveyor rapid door, equipped with self-repairing capabilities, is ideally suited for diverse industrial separation needs, addressing both essential requirements and legal obligations.
What the legislation says
Manufacturers and stakeholders falling under the scope of the Machinery Directive, if found in non-compliance with Legislative Decree 81/2008, may be subject to administrative and financial penalties.
Various supervisory bodies conduct checks during periodic inspections or in response to accident reports. In the presence of identified deficiencies in the essential safety requirements of machinery, a report must be submitted to the Ministry of Economy.
If the report is considered irrelevant or incomplete, the Ministry of Economic Development may request additional verification from the territorial supervisory bodies that submitted it.
In cases where the alert is deemed valid, a registered letter is sent to the manufacturer, inquiring about the actions intended to address the issue and requesting a complete list of machines placed on the market. If this procedural step proves insufficient, on-site investigations may be conducted at the manufacturer’s facility, including an examination of the Technical File of the machine.
Upon confirmation during the inspection that the machine fails to meet Essential Safety Requirements (ESR), the manufacturer must take necessary measures. Additionally, they must update the list of machinery in circulation to facilitate potential withdrawal in the event of confirmed danger.
